Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has just received a brand new update for the PC platform via the Steam service, bringing improvements to the scoreboard, the hitboxes of certain characters, and to maps like Inferno, Dust 2, or Overpass.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been increasing in terms of popularity for quite some time, with Valve releasing plenty of updates and new mechanics, while organizing or helping large eSports competitions, like the most recent EMS One Katowice tournament.

Now, a new patch for Global Offensive has been rolled out via Steam, bringing quite a lot of different improvements to key features of the game.

First up, the scoreboard has been tweaked and players can finally use the mouse to select other players in that match. A few other enhancements and options have also been added to the user interface.

The rules for grenade drop upon death have been tweaked slightly, as when you die your most recently selected grenade type will drop near your corpse. If you haven't selected one since the initial spawn, the old rules apply, meaning your most expensive grenade will drop.

The defuse kit has also been redesigned to make it more visible on the ground, while the game's memory usage has been refined, not to mention its error messages regarding the Valve Anti-Cheat system.

Last but not least, a few different maps have received fine tweaks, in the form of Overpass, Dust2, and Inferno.
